Cybersecurity and Civic Engagement

CSB.SCHOOL Supports the Operational Reserve
Training tomorrow’s professionals also means preparing them to become engaged citizens. At the crossroads of national defense and digital expertise, CSB.SCHOOL has taken a new step by officially announcing its support for the Operational Reserve — a vital initiative serving the public interest.
On Wednesday, May 14, our Managing Director, Vianney Wattinne, signed a partnership agreement with General Denis MISTRAL, Military Governor of Lyon, during the “Military–Public & Private Employers Meeting” held in the prestigious setting of the Rhône Prefecture.
A School Committed to the Nation
As a reference institution in cybersecurity training, CSB.SCHOOL prepares students who will become tomorrow’s defenders of digital infrastructures in businesses, public institutions, and critical systems.
But beyond technical skills, our mission is to foster a mindset of responsibility, ethics, and public service.
The agreement signed on May 14 reflects this vision by committing to:
✅ Promote civic engagement among students and staff
✅ Support reservist activity by accommodating it within academic and career paths
✅ Recognize and value experience gained in service of the Armed Forces and national security
Cybersecurity at the Core of Defense Challenges
Cyber threats know no borders. They target our data, our institutions, and our sovereignty. Integrating cybersecurity experts into the Operational Reserve is a tangible response to these emerging threats.
Through their skills, cyber reservists provide strategic added value to both the military and government services. Their presence strengthens the country’s ability to anticipate, detect, and respond to attacks.
A Meaningful Opportunity for Future Professionals
By supporting this initiative, CSB.SCHOOL reaffirms its civic commitment and its role as a trusted partner to national defense authorities. At the same time, it opens new paths for students to serve with purpose, earn recognition, and develop their skills through a unique and impactful experience.
A Partnership Built on Trust and Shared Values
We extend our sincere thanks to the Military Governor of Lyon, MEDEF Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, the South-East Defense and Security Zone, Lyon Pacte PME, the National Guard, and all the stakeholders for their warm welcome, trust, and engagement.
This partnership marks the beginning of a long-term collaboration, rooted in shared values: service, competence, and commitment to the common good.
At CSB.SCHOOL, we believe every student, teacher, and team member has a role to play in strengthening our country’s resilience. Supporting the Operational Reserve means preparing a generation of professionals ready to act — with expertise and integrity — to build a safer world.
