From the third year of study, our training includes work-study to boost students' employability.

A cybersecurity programme 100% work-study

Work-study cybersecurity training matters for several reasons. First, it gives students the opportunity to acquire practical skills they can use immediately in a company, considerably strengthening their employability. It also gives them a better grasp of the real challenges of cybersecurity through immersion in operational situations. In addition, this learning model creates a strong link between academic teaching and the needs of the market, making it easier for young graduates to enter the workforce. Finally, work-study drives innovation by giving companies access to new ideas and fresh perspectives brought by emerging talent.

Work-study rhythm

After an initial period at school whose length depends on your programme, you alternate between school and company: 2 weeks at school and 4 weeks in the company for the Bac+3, 2 weeks at school and 5 weeks in the company for the Bac+5.

Workshops

"Boost your work-study" workshops run by the school's Director are offered to maximise your chances of landing a work-study contract and to prepare you for interviews.

With work-study, there are no student loans and no debt: your tuition fees are 100% covered by your company.

Esther Tirop, work-study student at Teamwork

I remember being scared at the thought of looking for a work-study placement. I kept wondering: will I find the right fit for me? Is my CV good enough? What should I do to prepare for the interview?

The very idea of the unknown turned my stomach. Fortunately, the CSB.SCHOOL team was there to hold my hand and guide me throughout the process. They helped me revise my CV and search for a placement. I also played my part by sending applications to the companies I had identified.

The Director made time despite his busy schedule and actively helped me prepare for the interviews.

Unlike a normal job search, I was supported throughout, and it earned me two offers. I chose the one that suited me best.

I love teamwork and I strongly identify with their vision and values.

I am a cybersecurity engineer, and the best part of my job is the team I work with. Everyone is happy to collaborate and share their knowledge. I discover real-world scenarios while learning the ins and outs of cybersecurity.

So far, my favourite experience has been taking part in the ISO 27001 audit process. Mr Patrice Chelim, my CSB mentor, works with my Teamwork tutor to make sure my knowledge grows in line with the skills the cybersecurity industry needs. Thanks to their leadership and coaching, I am confident I will achieve my personal and professional goals. I am forever grateful for this opportunity and motivated to pursue my career goals with CSB and Teamwork.

I joined the Cybersecurity Specialist programme at CSB.SCHOOL in 2022.

I chose a school that offered work-study because I wanted to discover the business world while continuing my studies.

CSB.SCHOOL helped me a great deal in finding my company by putting me in touch with it before the start of the academic year. The interviews led to a contract offer. I will soon start my second year of work-study with them.

I currently carry out cybersecurity consulting and audit assignments. A senior colleague always supports me throughout each one.

Health and safety rules in the workplace

As an apprentice, you are considered a full employee. Your employer is required to protect workers’ physical and mental health and to provide medical follow-up through the information and prevention visit (VIP), arranged shortly after you are hired.

For their part, employees must take care of their own safety and that of their colleagues.

Stakeholders, regulations and risks

There are many stakeholders in prevention:

Internal: the Social and Economic Committee (CSE), the safety manager, the occupational health nurse and the workplace first-aider (SST).
External: the occupational health service (occupational medicine) and the labour inspectorate.

The regulations distinguish between two types of accident:

Commuting accidents, which occur on the direct route between the workplace and home (or the place where meals are taken).
Workplace accidents, which occur as a result of or in the course of professional activity, wherever it takes place.

The main risks identified in companies include:

Risks related to screen exposure
Psychosocial risks
Fire and electrical risks.

Our training courses are designed with our partner companies to meet market needs. Our Cybersecurity Specialist programme (Bac+3) prepares for technical jobs. Our Bac+5 programmes prepare for management roles.

The ideal path into the technical professions of cybersecurity. Bridges exist for people who have already completed IT-related programmes (BTS in IT, IUT in IT...) as well as for those from backgrounds wrongly seen as “far removed” from cyber (law degree, IAE business school...).
